Slam Dunk, Crusader Classic Returns to County Center

The famed Slam Dunk Showcase is coming back home to the Westchester County Center next week and is adding the most highly-anticipated game of the season in the region to its schedule.

The Crusader Classic – featuring CHSAA rivals Stepinac and Iona Prep – will cap the two-day, seven game event at the County Center, which begins on Jan. 5.

Reigning Class A state champion Panas and defending Class AA section champion White Plains highlight the girls teams in the field. On the boys side, Gold Ball favorites Yorktown and Scarsdale, as well as Class AAA contenders Mamaroneck and White Plains are the headliners from Section 1.

Full schedule:

Friday, January 5
Girls: White Plains vs. Rye, 5:15 p.m.
Boys: Mamaroneck vs. Yorktown, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 6
Girls: Hen Hud vs. New Fairfield (CT), 11 a.m.
Girls: Harrison vs. Panas, 1 p.m.
Boys: White Plains vs. Scarsdale, 3 p.m.
Boys: Christ the King vs. Thomas Jefferson, 5 p.m.
Crusader Classic: Stepinac vs. Iona Prep, 7 p.m.
