In its return to the state tournament, Somers blew past Burnt Hills in another dominant effort. The Tuskers took a four-touchdown lead into the half and never looked back for a 48-14 win over the Section 2 powerhouse in the NYSPHSAA Class A Regional Final at Mahopac High School on Friday night.

Derek Marcus and Ravi Dass Jr. each scored two touchdowns as Somers (11-0) advanced and will take on rival Rye in Friday’s state semifinal at Middletown High School. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Here are the highlights from Somers’ win:

Matt Fitzsimons passed for 178 yards on 14 of 18 completions and also ran for a touchdown. Matt Kapica and Stefan Swee each scored in the win.

Anthony Mancuso and Ethan Krauss each recorded six tackles. Michael DiFilippo had a fumble recovery and an interception on defense.
