The LHBCA announced Nick Townsend of Horace Greeley as the 2019-20 Mr. Basketball Award on Wednesday. Townsend is the first sophomore to ever win the Mr. Basketball Award, which goes annually to the best player in Section 1.
Townsend, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 21 points and 15 rebounds per game this season and shot 60-percent from the field, leading Horace Greeley to a Section 1 Class AA Championship.
