Hats 🎩of to white plains on there victory over mount Vernon 🏀👏👍after eight years of trying and to beat knights on there home court, I say job well done. I think white plains is going to surprise teams in the sectional playoffs . 💪👏
Class A will be the most competitive bracket by far as any of six teams could win it.poukeepsie TZ byram hills rye Pelham and Peekskill are all solid teams . 🏀👍💪👏
Greeley and Peekskill could be the sleepers in class A.
No question about it Greeley freshman Townsend can play he should be the next. Topbig man in section one hoops quakers are well coached and play smArt team basketball 🏀 but again it’s team game and all member of all teams must contribute each and every gamer ( best of luck to all teams going into sectionals ( I will be watching 😀🏀👏
Greeley has won 14 straight and has two of the best big men in the county. They’ll be a 2 seed behind TZ. Hardly a sleeper.
T.Z goes 20-0 and Greeley go 18-2 and Poughkeepsie gets the one seed in class A with (3) losses somethings is wrong here,plain and simple any team that goes unbeaten in any class should be number 1,end of story.
you can’t always say 20-0 in A is better than 18-2 or even 17-3 when looking at strength of schedule…..while I don’t think it’s the case with TZ, sometimes a team could have played a easier schedule and maybe not even played all A or AA teams to go 20-0. TZ is great….don’t get me wrong….but this is why the bonus points system came into play to account for the records of the teams played in season.
best of luck to all section one boys basketball teams in the post season; it will be who plays the best on the court,who moves on and who moves over the fans will be watching. bring your game not your name.
Plain and simple any team that can go unbeaten in a regular season as tough as that is should be seeded (one)☝️End of story.
Perhaps, if the story didn’t have a chapter on bonus points….but it does.
It would have been nice to see TZ rewarded for it’s 20-0 season and get the 1 seed, but POK went undefeated in the league too, I believe. Strength of schedule should definitely be a factor, but so should common sense. Let’s see what happens in the tourney. It will be nuts. I’m a big fan of TZ and Coach Gaine, he’s the best and has built a tremendous program.
