Less than 24 hours after hearing his name called in the MLB Draft on Monday night, Lenny Torres still feels like he’s living a dream.
The Beacon ace right-hander — selected No. 41 overall by the Cleveland Indians — called in to the KDJ Show on Tuesday and talked about how is phone is blowing up, what his next step will be and living out his final days as a normal high school student in Beacon.
This past season, Torres posted a 0.68 ERA with 85 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched for Beacon.
