Thomas Conley jogged back to the line of his Mamaroneck teammates with almost an embrassed look on his face. The standout attackman made his way straight over to Will Martin, extending the MVP plaque he was just awarded and made an offer to his teammate.
“You want it?” Conley said. “We can split it.”
Both Conley and Martin were deserving of any offensive honor handed out after Wednesday’s Section 1 Class A boys lacrosse final. The duo was masterful all afternoon, combining for 12 goals in the Tigers’ 16-9 victory over Lakeland/Panas, the two-time champs.
