The 2018 Section 1 baseball championships were held on Saturday at Palisade Credit Union Park in Pomona and I was there for all three games. Afterwards, I recorded this week’s KDJ Show, recapping the entire tripleheader of games.

On this week’s show, I talk to Clarkstown South coach Mike Amendola and ace left-hander Kieran Finnegan after the Vikings captured their first Section 1 baseball title in school history.

I also spoke with Lakeland pitcher Joe Vetrano after he guided the Hornets to their first title in eight years, winning as a No. 12 seed in Class A.

And I spoke to Pleasantville coach Dan Iorio and stars Michael Matica and Nick Salzarulo following the Panthers’ upset of Briarcliff in the Class B final.
