The Lower Hudson Basketball Coaches Association, which emcompasses all schools from Section 1, honored its players and coaches at an awards banquet on Tuesday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown.
The evening culminated with Jason Doulgas-Stanley of Mount Vernon being named Mr. Basketball for the 2017-18 season. Douglas-Stanley, who’ll play at George Mason, averaged an area-best 29.3 points per game this season as the Knights captured a second straight Section 1 Class AA title.
