Standout North Rockland WR/DB Jayden Cook, a Super 11 selection as a junior last season by LoHud.com, has transferred out of the school and enrolled at PSAL powerhouse Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn. He enrolled last week.
Cook, a 6-foot, 200-pounder, will be a senior in the fall. He was a first-team All-Hudson Valley pick by News12Varsity.com and Honorable Mention All-State, and was regarded as the top returning player in Section 1 for 2018. But he confirmed on Monday morning that he has left North Rockland to try and get better exposure to Division I colleges.
Erasmus Hall sent seven players from last year’s team to Division I schools, which was a PSAL record, including Ohio State, Wisconsin and Rutgers. Read about Signing Day at Erasmus Hall here.
Cook ran for 765 yards and 8 touchdowns and had 342 yards receiving and 4 scores. In two years with the Red Raiders, he has 62 receptions in just 18 contests and was stellar defensive back.
In the Section 1 Class AA opening round last year, Cook ran the ball 41 times for 169 yards and a touchdown in a road victory.
